fire - Pleasant Mount
November
2007 |
Engine, Ladder
on 28 Box
The engine and the ladder
got a workout early Saturday morning on a 28 Box at 01:37 hours. The fire,
the scene of an earlier fire Friday afternoon, destroyed a large two story
wood frame structure on Route 370 in the Village of Pleasant Mount.
With heavy fire on arrival,
companies operated in a defensive mode, protecting an exposure on side
C. With interior floors heavily damaged, Ladder 43 was put to work
flowing copious amounts of water.
Companies returned to service
at 05:05 hours. There were no injuries reported. The fire is under investigation.
On
the box: Engines 28, 52, 43 and 41, Tankers 52 and 28, Ladder 43 and Ambulance
28-3. Chief 28 (Nebzydoski) had the command. Transfer: Squad 62 to
Station 43. |
