408-10 Maple Street Forest City, March 19, 2002

A duplex at 408-410 Maple Street in Forest City was hit by fire just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19,2002.
Incident Commander Chief 41 (T. Prince) marked on seen reporting a working fire on the second floor of the two and a half story wood frame duplex.
With the occupants reported out of the the building, first arriving Engine Company ( Engine 43) went to work advancing an attack line to the second floor. 
The interior crew was greeting by heavy fire in the a hallway, but was able to get a quick knock on the fire as the nudged their way into a well involved bedroom. Engine Company 41 supplied Engine 43. A crew from 41 Engine, coordindated exterior ventilation, opening the roof .

Interior: Safety Chief 43 (R. Richards)
Accountability: Chief 43 (D. Richards)
Safety: Chief 43A (E. Obelenus)
Roof/Vent: Captain 41 ( J. Obelenus)
Engine 52 ( Union Dale) transferred to Station 41

Companies remained on the scene for about and hour overhauling  the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
