Working
first due fire, station dedication,
then a
worker on a 41 box makes for busy day
Sunday was a busy day for
the volunteers at Station 43. While getting ready for the station dedication
and the tower housing, Station 43 was dispatched for a first due fire in
the 400 block of Main Street in Browndale on a 4301 box. The mid-morning
fire damaged a two story wood frame house and took the live of at least
one pet. First due engine, Engine 43, arrived on scene with smoke
showing. A quick primary search by the Tower proved negative. Fire
extended to division two but was quickly knocked down. Companies remained
on the scene for about an hour. On the
box: Engines 43, 41, 42, 28, Tower ladder 43, Ladder 18, Rescue 59,
Car 43, Forest City EMS and Cottage EMS.

The dedication ceremonies
