Working first due fire, station dedication,
then a worker on a 41 box makes for  busy day
Sunday was a busy day for the volunteers at Station 43. While getting ready for the station dedication and the tower housing, Station 43 was dispatched for a first due fire in the 400 block of Main Street in Browndale on a 4301 box. The mid-morning fire damaged a two story wood frame house and took the live of at least one pet. First due engine, Engine 43,  arrived on scene with smoke showing. A quick primary search by the Tower  proved negative. Fire extended to division two but was quickly knocked down. Companies remained on the scene for about an hour. On the box: Engines 43, 41, 42, 28, Tower  ladder 43, Ladder 18, Rescue 59, Car 43,  Forest City EMS and Cottage EMS.

Later in the day......
The dedication ceremonies were held for the new Station 43 and the housing of the Tower Ladder 43.  Over 100 guests attended the festivities Sunday afternoon.

4101 box
