Around 0830 hours on
Thursday, November 15, Wayne County Communications dispatched a box
for possible structure fire in the 500 block of Main Street (Richmondale
section of Fell Township) with report of heavy smoke showing from the chimney
area. Chief 41 (Prince) assumed command with a 1 3/4" line stretched to
the two story wood frame dwelling.
Without a supply laid, 43
laid out 5" insuring a water supply. A faulty heating system was the culprit.
The furnace was shut down and all companies were returned to service: On
the box: Engines 41, 42, 43, Rescue 41, Ladder 43, Forest City EMS, Chiefs
41, 43A and 61. |
