 Wreck with entrapment  - August 9, 2007
Engines 43 and 42, Rescue 41, Forest City EMS and MICU 9 responded to a personal injury accident in the 100 block of Hudson Street in Forest City on Thursday just before 10:00 hours.

Police on  scene advised communications that the vehicle was over the embankment and was very unstable with two occupants entrapped.

Chief 41A (Daugevelo) established command opting to secure the unstable vehicle to the front of Rescue 41 with chain and a come-a-long while crews from the Rescue and Engine 43 cribbed the car. Engine 43 pulled a handline to protect the rescuers and the vehicle's occupants.

With the vehicle secured, a pet and the two elderly occupants were removed through the passenger's door to awaiting EMS personnel.

With  the rescue complete, Chief 43A and the engine returned to service with Rescue 41 and Engine 42 remaining at the scene until the vehicle was removed.
